Chapter 6 & 7 Response

In Chapter 6, Dodson definitely falls into a pattern of writing much different than in previous chapters. He includes a lot more insight on his personal experience with this culture. It differs from the other chapters because he uses narrative in order to create a visual for his readers. Though Dodson still includes research, he takes the time to mention the personal then supports it with research information. The pattern of variation throughout chapter 6 flows back and forth from personal to research.
Chapter 7 seems like it falls in the category of the chapters we previously read. Dodson includes personal stories in this chapter, but they are less mentioned. He seems to shift into including more research data and sources. Dodson placed this style of writing in the correct time, since it is neither in the beginning nor the end, it  prepares readers to possibly analyze Dodson's writing in different perspectives as he transitions into the second part of his book. The style that Dodson uses for Chapter 6 can relate to the manner in which the strands of our essay should be built along with the resources we use throughout our own writing.
