responding to Chapter 5 on China

How do you respond to the analysis of China's natural resources and energy needs in Chapter 5?  Do you see any possible errors in the way Dodson moves toward predicting China's future?  Do you think there might be something he's not considering in his analysis?  What might that be?  How important is that missing factor?
